The brain is a funny thing. Did you know, it believes what we tell it, wholeheartedly, even if what we tell it isn't true. You can convince yourself you are a horrible person or that you’re a star; that you’re lacking or that you’re abundant. Societal pressures and life traumas pose challenges to individuals’ self-talk. You may not be aware of the narrative in your head, telling yourself you’re not good enough.

This is where affirmations can make a difference. Adopting a practice that includes daily affirmations can change the way you view yourself and the world. If you're thinking this sounds like voodoo, it isn't! The effectiveness of changing the brain through use of positive affirmations is based on well-studied psychological practices and research. Choose some positive affirmations to rehearse, say them out loud, think them, post them around your home. Change your brain to believe them. Because yes – you are worthy!
